If there’s one lesson we’ve learnt in more than two decades of reviewing gadgets here in the Digital Life Labs, it’s this: Stop looking at your phone. Unless your question is “What’s the time?” or “What will the weather be like in Melbourne this weekend”, your phone does not have any answers.

But if there’s a second lesson we’ve learnt, it’s that it’s best not to look too closely at your health and fitness trackers, either.
