Victoria to sell loss-making Baw Baw, Lake Mountain ski resorts

The cash-strapped Victorian government is planning to sell the operating rights of state-owned ski resorts at Mount Baw Baw and Lake Mountain and end the subsidies worth millions of dollars it pays each year to the loss-making alpine businesses.
The value of the 355-hectare Mount Baw Baw and 465-hectare Lake Mountain resorts, the closest alpine facilities to Melbourne and ones that provide entry-level ski and day-trip snow experiences, is unclear.
