Former consumer lawyer Thomas Kaldor is betting that his idea of getting artificial intelligence bots to fight people’s customer service battles with faceless companies could turn into a money spinner, and he has convinced a leading Sydney venture capital company to help bankroll his plan.

Most Australians are familiar with the pain of waiting on hold for hours after a cancelled holiday or network outage, or dealing with customer service bots that refuse to understand their problem – Mr Kaldor’s start-up Ajust says its software can do all that legwork instead.
