One month since Donald Trump’s emphatic presidential election victory, the return of the billionaire businessman to the White House is rapidly reshaping global markets and boosting returns for local fund managers.

Billed as the largest macroeconomic event of the year, the US election captivated the markets’ attention in the run-up to November 5 and has largely defined its direction ever since. In the four weeks following Trump’s victory, the price of bitcoin has surpassed a landmark $US100,000 and the S&P 500 has rapidly accelerated its year-to-date rally to record highs.
