It’s a scene familiar to anyone who travels domestically: a departure lounge filled with angry travellers as their flight faces yet another delay.
In a taste of what is to come during the busy Christmas travel period, airports this week descended into chaos as Qantas was repeatedly forced to tell passengers – still paying high airfares – that engineering faults and weather-related issues were increasing delays and cancellations.
