Boss of Jeep, Maserati, Peugeot quits as sales plunge

New York | Stellantis chief executive Carlos Tavares is resigning after almost four years in the top spot of the carmaker, which owns car brands such as Jeep, Citroën and Maserati, amid an ongoing struggle with slumping sales and a transition to electric vehicles.
The world’s fourth-largest car maker announced that its board accepted Mr Tavares’ resignation on Sunday (Monday AEDT), effective immediately.
