South Korean MPs to impeach president over martial law chaos

Seoul | South Korea’s opposition called for the impeachment of President Yoon Suk Yeol after he plunged the nation into a political crisis by briefly imposing martial law.
The Democratic Party and five other opposition parties submitted a motion calling for the impeachment on Wednesday afternoon, less than a day after Mr Yoon’s shock move, according to a DP official speaking with reporters.
