Qantas says Virgin Australia should not be allowed to use Qatar Airways’ planes indefinitely, and invited the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission to impose guardrails around the longevity of the proposed alliance.

As part of the deal, Virgin gets to direct Qatar’s fleet and crew for its own schedule.
