Greens senator Sarah Hanson-Young has dismissed suggestions the government may revisit its aborted nature positive bill when parliament resumes in February, saying Prime Minister Anthony Albanese does not have the guts.

As Western Australia’s Labor premier Roger Cook, who personally lobbied Mr Albanese to kill the deal with the Greens, lauded the prime minister’s intestinal fortitude, Senator Hanson-Young said with the WA election on March 8, and the federal election due soon after, prospects for an Environment Protection Agency were grim.
