One of the few remaining building groups on the ASX hits the gas

The construction and equipment hire business founded by former Rabbitohs player Wes Maas has acquired three smaller rivals as it accelerates its expansion after raising $138 million.
Maas Group, which started in Dubbo two decades ago with a single bobcat and $14,000, is now worth $1.5 billion, creating significant wealth for Mr Maas, the largest shareholder.
