Let’s not gild the lily – Australia’s growth figures are grim and our economy is sick. Economic activity per capita has gone backwards for the seventh consecutive quarter.

High migration is masking the backwards movement in economic activity per person, and the emerging pattern of the economy being bigger, and people being poorer is a matter of deep concern.
