Farmer co-op shops $51m raising to energy players

A farmer-led cooperative whose members own rural properties up and down the east coast of Australia is raising $51 million from mining and energy players to fund a series of regenerative farming projects.

The effort, being led by Regen Farmers Mutual co-director Andrew Ward and former Grange Securities corporate finance director Rohan Clarke, will be split into two distinct parts with an initial $6 million sought by December to meet current demand and another $45 million to be raised before June.
