Ex-Atlassian insiders pull in millions for AI development start-up

Redactive, a start-up founded by a pair of former Atlassian product managers and a machine learning engineer, has raised an $11.5 million seed funding round after convincing financial services clients to use its platform to let regular software engineers develop artificial intelligence applications.

The funding round was jointly led by Sydney venture capital firm Blackbird Ventures and US-based early Canva investor Felicis Ventures. US-based automation software company Zapier and Atlassian’s venture capital arm also pitched money into the round.
