Bitcoin tipped to hit $US100,000 as euphoria floods crypto

Cryptocurrency markets are positioning for a momentous shift in sentiment towards digital assets under returning US president Donald Trump, which bullish pundits predict could send bitcoin rocketing above $US100,000.
The largest cryptocurrency jumped more than 9 per cent overnight and briefly broke through $US76,000 for the first time after the Republican’s landslide win over Kamala Harris. The gains add to bitcoin’s more than 80 per cent advance this year.
