Chinese premier vows to do everything possible to expand demand

Beijing | China’s Premier Li Qiang pledged Beijing will do everything possible to boost domestic consumption in an effort to support the country’s economic growth.
China will strengthen countercyclical measures and step up implementation of macroeconomic policies to shore up the economy, Mr Li said Monday night at a meeting in Beijing with the heads of 10 international economic organisations, including the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, the official Xinhua News Agency reported.
