CBA hires Treasury deputy as chief economist

Commonwealth Bank of Australia has hired Treasury deputy secretary Luke Yeaman as its new chief economist.

Mr Yeaman has been head of Treasury’s macroeconomic group since the pandemic in 2020, overseeing forecasts for government budgets and providing advice to treasurers Jim Chalmers and Josh Frydenberg.
