Blackbird-backed HR start-up shuts down due to lack of demand

A human resources business backed by Australia’s biggest venture capital firm Blackbird has been shut down less than two years after launching due to a lack of customer demand.

Chief executive and co-founder Lauren Humphrey launched employee-feedback business Tandem in 2023 after raising $US6.8 million ($9.3 million) in capital across two raises in 2021 and 2022 for her parent company, The Mintable. Treble Capital, Flying Fox, Black Nova, Global Founders Capital, Saniel Ventures and Startmate are also invested in The Mintable.
