Anti-corruption commission clears former ASIC deputy Karen Chester

The national corruption watchdog has cleared former corporate regulator Karen Chester of any corruption and issued a rare public statement meant to clear the air and protect against unfair damage to reputations.

In its first such reputation-restoring statement, the National Anti-Corruption Commission said it investigated a matter referred to it by a member of the public in August last year involving Ms Chester, and found no wrongdoing.
