Alceon’s IT biz efex acquires specialist Medihost Solutions

Alceon-backed managed services business efex has acquired specialist medical IT services provider Medihost Solutions, in its fourth bolt-on acquisition this year amid a push to become the dominant player in the small-to-medium enterprise market.

Street Talk can reveal efex, owned 50-50 by Alceon Private Equity and founder Nick Sheehan, agreed terms overnight to buy 100 per cent of Medihost which has 300 clients across private practices and allied healthcare.
