Air New Zealand to follow Qantas for premium cabin makeover

Air New Zealand will follow Qantas in upgrading and remodelling its long-haul cabins to add more premium economy and business class seats, insulating the airline from weak domestic and corporate travel markets.

As Qantas waits for new planes to start selling tickets for its Sunrise ultra-long-haul routes from Melbourne and Sydney to New York and London, Air New Zealand told investors on Monday it would retrofit its wide-body aircraft.
